Romania’ biggest biomass-cogeneration plant is located at the Holzindustrie Schweighofer sawmill in Radauti/Romania. The cogeneration plant is run with biomass like bark as well as sawmill and harvesting residues like chips or branches. The heat is primarily used for the kiln drying chambers at the mill site.
