Non-critical magnets

Permanent magnets are key tools in technology and engineering, as they allow energy to be stored and delivered. Unfortunately, the most powerful magnets are made of rare earth elements, which are expensive, harmful to the environment, and present a high supply risk. Amphibian is an EU project with the goal to develop up-scalable and cost-efficient methods for manufacturing improved rare earth free permanent magnets. We aim at producing permanent magnets with an enhanced performance with respect to already existing rare earth free magnets; and making them more enduring and sustainable.
