Biobased textile dyes from algae

One studio in Berlin has discovered an unexplored use for algae as a "biodynamic color palette" for dyeing textiles. Together with Germany's Fraunhofer Institute, Essi Johanna Glomb and Rasa Weber from Blond and Bieber devised "Algaemy," a system of microalgae-based pigments so eco- and human-friendly you can apparently eat them.
