The project aims at reducing poverty conditions by providing a meal to disadvantaged people and preventing waste production by allocating non-consumed meals in a period compatible with their shelf-life. for ensuring the success of the project it was essential to create a network of all those involved such as schools, companies running school canteens, local charitable and social welfare associations that made possible to identify disadvantaged people and supply them with meals. In addition to this Cooperative "Il Pungiglione" developed a monitoring system of collected and delivered meals, of beneficiaries and prevented waste. Funding are allocated within Piano di Zona (local social plan at supra-local level), which is an annual plan annually destine some budget to Last Minute Market project, especially to cover the costs of human resources involved in it.
