Renewable geothermal energy for heating

Noord-Holland’s first geothermal project began in 2014 with the aim of supplying hot water to the the greenhouse farms in Agriport A7, Amsterdam. This water is sourced from 2.600m underground and reaches temperature of 90oC and is used to heat more than 250 hectares of greenhouses with no harmful emissions.
